We've put together a selection of apps that we show seniors or have found seniors enjoy using. 

YourLink - Free app.

Our own YourLink app is one of the few out there designed specifically for seniors to stay in touch with family, friends, services and the local community.

ABC iView - Free app. 

ABC iview is simple, ad-free and free to use. Download the app now to watch ABC TV programs.

ABC Radio - Free app. 

With the ABC Radio App you can listen to 36 live radio streams and over 150 on-demand programs.

SBS on Demand - Free app.

Google Maps - Free app. 

Google Maps helps you find directions to and from places as well as explore cities and towns. There is a feature called street view that is good to show you how a place you may have grown up or visited now looks.

Google Search - Free app.

Google search is a great tool to help you find answers to questions you may have. Any question you have can potentially be answered by google. Which is why we commonly hear people say "how about you google that?" or "I'll google that".

Solitaire Game - Free app.

Solitaire is a great card game that has transferred well to computers and mobile devices. Many of us like playing solitaire, and it is a good simple way of stimulating the mind with just a few minutes of play a day. 

There are plenty of options in the App Store. We found this one that can be used on your iPad and iPhone and looks easy to use.

Your Brain Matters - Free app.

The BrainyApp developed by Alzheimers Australia and Bupa is a fun way to help you look after your brain health to reduce your risk of dementia. Go to this website to find out more https://brainyapp.com.au/

Magic Jigsaw Puzzles - Free app.

If you enjoy puzzles, here's good game for the iPad and iPhone that you can play anytime of the day. You can start a puzzle and come back to it later. As you get more comfortable with the app, you can increase the number of pieces to test yourself. There are a number of free puzzles in there for you to enjoy and get comfortable with. You can pay for other puzzles within the app.

iBooks - Free app.

If you enjoy reading, iBooks can help you always have a book on your iPad. The app is free and there is a selection of books that are free to enjoy. Not all books are free and you will be required to pay for some books.

iTunes University - Free app.

If you enjoy learning, there are a range of lectures and talks available from the iTunes University app.
